1. Kitty Chiller

Kitty Chiller is an Australian pentathlete, modern pentathlete, and sport administrator. Born on December 22, 1966, in Leongatha, she competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, where she finished in 27th place in the women's modern pentathlon. Chiller was the Chef de Mission for the Australian Olympic Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

2. Gary Ablett Sr.

Gary Ablett Sr., also known as "God" and "Gazza," is a former Australian rules football player. Born on October 1, 1961, in Leongatha, he is considered one of Australian football's greatest full-forwards. Ablett Sr. played for the Hawthorn Football Club and the Geelong Football Club during his illustrious career. He won the Brownlow Medal in 1989 and 1993 and was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2005.

3. Jarryd Roughead

Jarryd Roughead is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Born on January 23, 1987, in Leongatha, Roughead is a popular figure in Australian football. He played a key role in Hawthorn's success, winning four AFL premierships with the club. He retired in 2019 and was known for his strong marking and accurate goal-kicking skills.

4. Katie Brennan

Katie Brennan is an Australian rules footballer who has played for the Western Bulldogs and the Richmond Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Born on November 26, 1992, in Leongatha, she is a talented athlete and was the captain of the Western Bulldogs during their inaugural AFLW season in 2017. Matthew Del Negro is an American actor best known for his roles in television series such as "The Sopranos," "Scandal," and "Teen Wolf." While not originally from Leongatha, Del Negro spent part of his youth living in the town. He was born on August 2, 1972, in Mount Kisco, New York, and has achieved success in the entertainment industry.
